Nea Iraklitsa is a small, nice tourist location of about 1000 inhabitants, 13km away from Kavala. It has a sandy beach about 2km long, mostly organized with sun loungers, umbrellas and sand volleyball courts. To the right is the smaller beach Remvi. Both beaches have crystal clear waters and they carry the Blue Flag for clean water, safety and access since 2007.
Along the well-designed promenade there are restaurants, tavernas, bars, bakeries, shops and children’s attractions, such as slides and swings. To the left of this town there is a sailing club and sports grounds, organized parking and supermarket Lidl.
Nea Iraklitsa is only 5km from Ammolofi Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in northern Greece, 3km long and 50m wide. This beach with fine golden sand and shallow waters is ideal for families with smaller children. There is a large number of modern beach bars with deck chairs and umbrellas (they are provided free of charge with a drink), as well as large, shady free parking. It has held the Blue Flag since 2006.
Nea Iraklitsa is an ideal choice for those who want a quiet holiday without crowds, while at the same time being close to a bigger city, like Kavala where they can spend time having fun and shopping.
